Language proficiency: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5. Test results should be less than 12 months old.
Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
Intent: Candidates should plan to live permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Health Care Sector: Includes roles like Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, and Radiation Therapists.
Aquaculture Sector: Jobs like Farming and Feeding Managers, Cage Site Technicians, and Area Managers.
Engineering and Development: Opportunities for Software Developers, Biomedical Engineers, and Programmers.
Technical Specialists: Roles like Security Specialists, Cloud Specialists, Data Analysts, and Technical Writers.
Expression of Interest (EOI) Submission: Candidates complete a questionnaire that assesses language ability, education, work experience, and family connections in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Evaluation and Invitation: Those scoring above 60 points are considered for invitation. High-scoring candidates, especially those drawing employer interest, are invited to apply for the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program without a job offer.
Provincial Nomination Application: Eligible candidates for either the Skilled Worker or Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive a provincial nomination certificate, which can be included in their permanent residency application to the federal government.
Support During PR Process: While awaiting permanent residency, candidates receive support from the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism and access to specialized services, including work permit support letters.
Complete the EOI.
Await invitation based on scores and employer interest.
Formally apply for provincial nomination.
File for permanent residency, with options for Express Entry or direct application.
Potentially secure a work permit, backed by PNP authorities.
