Skilled Immigration

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Overview

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is one of the primary pathways for immigration to Canada, offering qualified individuals the opportunity to obtain permanent residency. As one of the most efficient provincial programs, SINP allows skilled and experienced applicants to receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan, significantly accelerating the Canadian permanent residency process.

Key Categories of SINP

International Skilled Worker Category:
This category focuses on skilled foreign professionals with experience in occupations that meet Saskatchewan’s labour needs. It consists of three main streams:

  • Saskatchewan Express Entry: For candidates registered in the federal Express Entry system.

  • Saskatchewan In-Demand Occupation: For applicants with work experience in one of Saskatchewan’s high-demand occupations.

  • Saskatchewan Employment Offer: For individuals holding valid job offers from Saskatchewan employers.

Saskatchewan Experience Category:
Designed for foreign nationals currently working in Saskatchewan under valid permits.

Saskatchewan Farm Owners and Operators Category:
Created for experienced farm owners and operators who intend to purchase, invest in, and manage a farming business in Saskatchewan.

Application Process for International Skilled Worker

A. Saskatchewan Express Entry:

  • Eligibility requires an active profile in the federal Express Entry system and a minimum of 60 points on the SINP assessment grid.

  • Candidates must meet language, education, and work experience requirements.

  • Applicants need to submit their Express Entry profile, obtain an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code, and then apply through the SINP online portal.

B. Saskatchewan Occupation In-Demand:

  • Applicants should have at least one year of experience in an eligible in-demand occupation and score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP points grid.

  • Requirements include adequate language proficiency, relevant education, and appropriate work experience.

  • Candidates must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and, if invited, pay the application fee of CAD 350 to proceed.

C. Saskatchewan Employment Offer:

  • This stream applies to applicants who have received a valid full-time job offer from an approved employer in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category is tailored for foreign nationals already employed in Saskatchewan under programs such as:

  • Existing Work Permit Stream

  • Health Professionals Stream

  • Hospitality Sector Project

  • Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

  • Students Stream

Saskatchewan Farm Owners and Operators Category

This stream is dedicated to experienced farm owners and operators with a genuine intention to invest in and manage a farming business in Saskatchewan. Applicants must demonstrate substantial net worth and provide a good faith deposit of CAD 75,000, refundable upon fulfillment of their Performance Agreement terms.

Excluded Occupation List

Certain occupations are not eligible under the Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories of SINP. This exclusion ensures that the program remains aligned with Saskatchewan’s evolving labour market priorities.
